These three were submitted to a competition on nudes, another rejection. Feeling frustrated. These paintings are referenced from photos on the internet that I've manipulated, added to and changed to create this series. Over the last couple of years I began painting landscapes and seascapes but have been wanting to return to painting the figure. Not wanting to give up on the landscapes, I started placing nudes in them and at the beach, then eventually in the water. There's definitely a calming and serene quality when looking at the figures in the water,
